The process of monitoring exposure to airborne particulates requires on-site testing and it is performed to establish the actual amount of dust in the personal breathing zone of the worker. The sample is then sent to an accredited laboratory to determine the specific qualities of the dust collected.
In a report, we will explain how your dust sampling results compare to the New Zealand Workplace Exposure Standards and other relevant international standards. Together we can then determine what, if any, control measures can be employed to reduce exposures, including identifying the correct type of personal respiratory protection where appropriate.
We have a vast selection of sampling equipment and media including the following:
Other sampling methodologies are also available. If you can't see what you are looking for please contact one of the Working for Health exposure monitoring team.
