Liz is a proficient Registered Nurse who qualified in 2015 and has since developed a standout career in nursing and occupational health. Holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences, specialising in advanced assessment and science, she entered the occupational health field in 2018 after gaining substantial experience in hospital settings, including surgical recovery, medical day-intervention, and gastroenterology.
Currently serving as a Clinical Lead, Liz applies her extensive knowledge to oversee clinical practice in her organisation. She is an active member of the Taranaki Branch of NZOHNA serving in the local Executive position. Her respected expertise and leadership saw her voted in as National President of NZOHNA last year. In this prominent role, she has been the voice for occupational health nurses across Aotearoa, serving as the profession’s primary advocate in engagements with government and other external stakeholders.
Liz is passionate about delivering person-cantered care, emphasising effective communication, trust, empathy, and flexibility in her approach. She is dedicated to collaborating with individuals, using her expertise to create supportive environments that enable people to take charge of their health, safety, and wellbeing.
